28th October – Woodland Activity Day

Join Friends of Spud Wood on their first woodland activity day on Saturday 28th October.  The day will run in Spud Wood from 11am-3pm, in the open area near the Stage Lane entrance just over the bridge.

We are really lucky, as with help from Round Table, we have Tim Kirwin from Wilder Things to run some children’s “making” sessions.  Please book your children on to sessions in advance, choose one of the items listed below to make.  Sessions start on the hour at 11am, 12noon, 1pm and 2pm.  At each session children can make one of the following:

  • Potato cakes
  • Bows and Arrows
  • Wands or Wizard sticks

All activities run at each session, just email info@lowcarbonlymm.org.uk let us know what time, which activity and how many children.

There are plenty of other activities if you don’t want to make anything as there is a treasure hunt, apple pressing, tours of the wood (starting on the hour), refreshments and carvings for sale plus a kid’s activity table with leaf & bark rubbing and potato prints.
