Saturday 29th April – Rock and Bunting Decorating Workshop
We are hosting a free drop-in workshop in the village hall between 10.30am and 12.30pm on 29th April. You can decorate a rock, or why not paint a bunting pennant to be proudly displayed in the village centre? Refreshments provided.
Saturday 6th to Monday 8th May – Coronation Trail
Free and just for fun!
Fill in the ten missing words on our trail sheet with a walk through Lymm. The Coronation trail clues will be in place from 6th to 8th May. Download your trail sheet at the bottom of this page. You can also view a 1953 Coronation Souvenir published by our forerunner, Lymm Urban District Council. You might even find some of the answers to the clues inside!
Monday 8th May – The Big Help Out: Keep Lymm Kleen Litter Pick
Instead of holding a large scale event for King Charles III’s Coronation, the Palace is suggesting that people come together to improve their communities, and Lymm Parish Council is supporting this.
We are organising a village litter pick on the bank holiday Monday, 8th May. Grabbers, bags and vests will be provided, as well as refreshments. All welcome – meet at the village hall for 10.30am. We will be finished by 12.00 so volunteers can enjoy the holiday afternoon.
Lymm Heritage Centre
Don’t miss the Heritage Centre window display with a stunning rendition of the Coronation Crown – illuminated too from late afternoon. It’s another outstanding piece of work by local artist Colin Grimes. Inside the Centre there’s the five minute movie capturing Lymm’s celebration of the coronation of George V 1911… in colour! And youngsters can make their own jewelled crown to take home FREE. More at www.lymmhic.co.uk
