The Neighbourhood Plan is going from strength to strength – many thanks to all those involved.
A massive well done to Lymm in Bloom – a gold medal has been awarded to Ben Selwood and the team, an award that was thoroughly deserved. Congratulations from all at Lymm Parish Council.
A warm welcome from the Parish Council to Revd Beverley Jameson, our new Rector of St Mary’s, Lymm’s Parish Church. The Christmas tree event that takes place annually, over the first weekend in December, has gone from strength to strength and was a great success. Over sixty trees were decorated by all areas of Lymm’s community from schools to old people’s residential homes.
Dickensian Day, if a little damp, was a great success – we are all looking forward to Carol’s Around The Cross which is always a fitting end to Lymm Village festivities.
Lymm Library has had a reprieve and will continue to be open and of great service to the community. It is also pleasing that we once more have a Post Office in the village – situated in Laura’s Choice.
Our local PCSOs would like to remind you that if you have any concerns please ring them on 101.
An Environment Working Group has been set up by the Parish Council which will include councillors and members of community groups. This group will make recommendations to the council about projects and tasks that can be undertaken within the village.
With the growing remit of the Parish Council it has been decided to employ a Deputy Clerk to the Parish Council, details will be available in the new year.
On behalf of the staff and councillors I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Cllr John Bamforth
